2017 Awards

As in previous years, the Trustees have responded to a wide range of applications in terms of courses and projects proposed by individuals and organisations. In total 130 applications were received from individuals (136 in 2016) and 31 from organisations (31 in 2016).

The Trustees continue to support students undertaking Medical Elective studies abroad and also the promotion of Vacation Studies in the Arts. Medical Elective studies were up from 8 in 2016 to 10 this year and 7 awards were made. There were 5 awards for Arts Vacation studies.

There was 1 application made and granted under the John Fife Travel Award.

There was no award made for the Anthony Ritchie Award.

The range of awards made in relation to individual applications varied from £330 to £4,000.
