The process for individuals and organisations is different. To qualify as an individual applicant YOU MUST:-

• BE BORN IN SCOTLAND (or at least one of your parents must have been born in Scotland);

ALSO you will require to convince the Trustees that:-

• You are Young! (As a guideline this generally means that you will be between 18 and 30.)

• You are in genuine financial need.

• You are of merit - as demonstrated from your academic or other records. The Trustees will consider your application with reference to the financial hardship which the proposed study or project may have on you or your family.
