Before
you complete the attached form you should be aware of the following
restrictions that will apply:-
You will require
to make a very convincing case if the Trustees are to support
you where:-
You are not under the age of 30 and/or
You do NOT have a CURRENT demonstrable
connection with Scotland (e.g. if your recent schooling has not
been in Scotland or your home is not now in Scotland you are unlikely
to be considered for an award.)
The Trustees
also have some specific restrictions and will not support an application
if:-
You plan to study for a first degree ABROAD
You have already submitted an application and it has been refused
and either you are applying to repeat a year
or you are thinking of applying for support for a further year
of the course for which an award has been refused
You have already received support for a project or period of study
abroad and are thinking of applying again to study
You plan to study for a Postgraduate other than musical studies
UNLESS there is significant support from State, LEA or a research
body
You wish to apply for a third post-school qualification
Your application is for a second degree UNLESS it is demonstrated
that either you received BAD ADVICE or that you were not qualified
for the proposed course when the first degree was undertaken AND
the proposed studies will enable you to fulfil vocational ambitions
which have been nurtured during your first degree studies
Your application is retrospective (i.e if the course or project
has already ended.)
